A method for constructing a GSM pattern DB for positioning, a base station almanac generating method using a GSM pattern DB, and a positioning DB construction system are provided to perform an LBS(Located Based Service) by easily performing the LBS service by supplying a method capable of constructing the base station almanac by itself without receiving the base station almanac. A method for constructing a GSM(Global System for Mobile communication) pattern DB(Database) for positioning comprises the following steps of: collecting GSM pattern DB data by each positioning service region as moving a GSM DB construction tool in a region capable of receiving GPS(Global Positioning System) satellite signal, and generating a temporary log file with the collected data before storing the generate log file(S202); collecting GSM pattern DB data by specific region by using a pattern DB collection program mounted in a GSM terminal in a region incapable of receiving a GPS satellite signal, and storing the collected data(S204); enabling the DB construction tool to generate a temporary log file by combining the GSM pattern DB data by specific region, collected and stored according to a GSM terminal, with latitude and longitude information of a measurement region measured through a digital map and map information, and storing the generated temporary log file(S206); and enabling the DB construction tool to store the temporary log file in a form of log file by region.
