<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rolling bearing and a grease iron powder content detecting sensor in which grease iron powder content of a bearing is detected without requiring increased man-hours and cost, and also to provide a rolling bearing unit with the sensor. <P>SOLUTION: The grease iron powder content detecting sensor 2 has a pair of energized coils connected to an alternating current power source, a pair of styluses 12, 13 arranged near the energized coils, and a detecting coil detecting a difference of induced electromotive force generated in the two energized coils. An axial through hole 8a is provided on a sealing member 8 of a rolling bearing 1, and one stylus 12 of the sensor 2 is inserted in the axial through hole 8a to be inserted in a grease 9. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO</p> |
