<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the manufacturing cost of a rack system by eliminating the need for providing an extra fixing component or cable for a second connector thereby reducing the number of components and the man-hour of assembling work. <P>SOLUTION: The rack system 1 comprises a rack 20 for containing a mother board 2 being connected electrically with a power supply unit 30 and a daughter board being fitted in a slot 27 arranged in the mother board 2 and connected electrically with the mother board 2; a fan unit 10 being fixed to the rack 20 and cooling the mother board 2 and the daughter board; a first connector 17 arranged in the fan unit 10; and a second connector 25 being fitted to and connected with the first connector 17 when the fan unit 10 is fixed to the rack 20, wherein the second connector 25 is arranged on the mother board 2 and connected electrically with the power supply unit 30 through the mother board 2. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
