Plasma-cutting torch with cooling circuit with adaptive immersion pipe

The torch has an internal cooling circuit with a tubular shaped hollow dip tube (5) arranged in part in a hollow electrode (2) having a blind bottom and an emissive insert (3). The tube has a downstream end which is maintained at a distance constant from the blind bottom of the electrode using an elastic and deformable support unit (6) such as spring, exerting axial elastic force on the tube to reject the tube in the direction of the bottom. The support unit applies the force on the tube in the direction of the electrode to maintain the tube at the distance constant from the bottom. An independent claim is also included for a method for performing plasma cutting for a metallic part.
