A press (1) has first (6) and second (14) plane-parallel pressing surfaces adjusted against each other by impinging with a force of pressure. A prepreg/preimpregnate contains an uncured duroplastic artificial resin and fits between the first plane-parallel pressing surface and a support surface (8) for transferring the force of pressure onto the first plane-parallel pressing surface. An independent claim is also included for a prepreg for reducing plane-parallel tolerances in a press.
