A cable connection for connecting a cable 9 to an underwater installation 7 comprises a connector (2, Fig 2) and guide means 12, 13, 14 located proximate a section of the cable adjacent to the end of the cable. This section is substantially restrained by said guide means at a predetermined angle with respect to the engagement means, so if the cable is snagged no shearing force is applied to the connector. A tether (4, Fig 2) may be used if the cable comes out of the side of the connector. |
