ERROR PREVENTING APPARATUS AND METHOD FOR NON-CONTACTING TOUCH SWITCH

An apparatus and a method for preventing an error of a non-contact switch are provided to prevent unwanted operation of the non-contact switch in unintended access to buttons and in erroneous pressing of the adjacent button. An apparatus for preventing an error of a non-contact switch includes a control panel(100) and a switch module(200). The control panel forms a front appearance of the apparatus and has a plurality of buttons(110) at one side. The switch module has a plurality of first non-contact touch sensors(210-270) and a plurality of second non-contact touch sensors(300-350). The plurality of first non-contact touch sensors are located behind the control panel to transmit a change of charge quantity due to contact of the buttons to a control unit for controlling operation of a refrigerator. Each of the second non-contact touch sensors is located between the two first non-contact touch sensors to prevent erroneous operation due to the simultaneous contact of the buttons.
