A cross member of a vehicle is provided to use the cross member to different vehicles regardless of side seal shapes and to improve collision resistance of the vehicle by engaging the cross member with a side seal without a step. A cross member(11) comprises a web(11a), a left and a right flange(11b), and a reinforcing brackets. One front end of the web is cut. The left and the right flanges are bent at two edge of the web. The reinforcing brackets are inserted to the cut web and integrally engaged with the cross member, thereby the cross member can be used for different vehicles regardless of side seal shapes.
