A radar system with a radar cover tilt unit is provided to realize optimal detection performance by calculating the optimal thickness of the radar cover and changing its tilt according to changes in weather. A radar system includes a radar(210), a radar cover(220), a radar cover tilting device(230), and a controller. The radar cover is mounted on a front surface of the radar. The radar cover tilting device is connected to the radar cover and adjusts the tilt of the radar cover. The controller is connected to the radar cover tilting device. The controller determines the tilt of the radar cover for minimizing the reflection of a radar wave from the radar cover according to climate information received from a receiver. The controller controls the radar cover tilting device according to the determined tilt.
