SEAM WELDING POSITIONER FOR WELDING CATALYTIC CONVERTER

A seam welding positioner for a catalytic converter in a vehicle is provided to facilitate welding process even though a distance from a center of the converter to a welding zone varies by allowing the center of the converter to be changed in welding process. A seam welding positioner for a catalytic converter in a vehicle comprises a base moving plate(12) fixed to a base plate(13). The base plates is coupled to a base rail(14). A moving plate is coupled to a first rail(15) installed at an upper part of the base plate. The moving plate moves by a horizontal cylinder(17) installed on the base moving plate. A lower mount(19) is installed at a lower side between two columns placed on the moving plate. A motor(20) is installed at a lower middle side of the lower mount. A lower jig(21) is installed at an upper middle side of the lower mount. An upper mount(22) is installed between two columns placed. A vertical cylinder(23) is installed on the upper mount. Two vertical moving rods(24) are installed on the upper mount. An up/down moving plate(25) is installed at a lower side of the vertical moving rods. A jig rotation shaft is installed at a lower side of the up/down moving plate. An upper jig mount(27) is installed at a lower side of the jig rotation shaft and is coupled to a second rail(29) installed at an upper side of an upper jig(28).
