MODIFIED POLYPHENYLENE OXIDE RESIN COMPOSITION COMPRISING CARBON NANO TUBE

A modified polyphenylene oxide(MPPO) resin composition, and a semiconductor chip tray molded from the composition are provided to improve surface resistance, heat resistance, dimension stability and stiffness and to lower a manufacturing cost. A modified polyphenylene oxide resin composition comprises 20-60 wt% of polyphenylene oxide; 10-30 wt% of the glass fiber coated with aminosilane or vinylsilane; 10-20 wt% of a mineral filler; 0.5-5 wt% of a carbon nanotube; and 10-30 wt% of high impact polystyrene. Preferably the polyphenylene oxide has a viscosity of 0.5-0.5 dl/g; the mineral filler comprises 60-75 wt% of silica and 25-40 wt% of magnesium oxide and has an average diameter of 4-6 micrometers; and the carbon nanotube is a multi-walled nanotube.
