A system and a method for providing a game ring back tone are provided to supply the game ring back tone service to a mobile communication terminal attempting video call or voice call connection, thereby enabling a transmitting party to wait the call connection without boredom and accordingly improving a call success rate. A game ring back tone providing server(300) provides game ring back tone related information to a mobile communication terminal(10,30) attempting origination, and receives game play information transmitted from the mobile communication terminal during execution of a game. The game ring back tone providing server stores and manages data saved at mobile communication terminal. A multimedia ring back tone server(200) requests game ring back tone related information to the game ring back tone providing server according as origination is attempted from the mobile communication terminal and receives the requested information. The multimedia ring back tone server transmits the received information to the mobile communication terminal. After that, the multimedia ring back tone server transmits game play information, transmitted from the mobile communication terminal during execution of the game, to the game ring back tone providing server so as to manage the game play information.
