A method for variably controlling an alternator of a vehicle is provided to reduce a load applied an engine by a charging amount in an acceleration mode requiring driving force of the vehicle. A method for variably controlling an alternator of a vehicle includes the steps of: determining whether or not a charging state of a vehicle battery is equal to or more than a predetermined ratio(S200); driving the vehicle in static voltage control if the charging state of the vehicle battery is equal to or more than the predetermined ratio(S300) and driving the vehicle in static current control if not(S400); determining whether or not a driving time of the vehicle is equal to or more than a predetermined time, and accumulated current values are larger than 0 or the charging state of the battery is equal to or more than the predetermined ratio(S600); lowering a set condition of a throttle position sensor by a predetermined ratio and setting the accumulated current values to 0 if the driving time condition is satisfied and the current accumulation value condition or the battery charging state condition is satisfied(S700), and determining whether or not the driving time of the vehicle is equal to or more than the predetermined time(S800); determining whether or not the accumulated current values are less than 0 and the battery charging state is less than the predetermined ratio if the driving time of the vehicle is equal to or more than the predetermined time(S900); and increasing the set condition of the throttle position sensor by the predetermined ratio if the accumulated current values are less than 0 and the battery charging state is less than the predetermined ratio(S1100) and maintaining the set condition of the throttle position sensor if not(S1000).
