FERRULE FOR OPTICAL CONNECTOR TO BE APPLICABLE IN VARIOUS SIZE

A ferrule for an optical connector is provided to reduce the manufacturing cost thereof by applying the same ferrule to optical fibers of various sizes by forming insertion-fixing portions respectively having different outer diameters in the ferrule. A ferrule for an optical connector includes a core line insertion hole(310), an optical fiber insertion hole(320), and an insertion-fixing unit(330). A small-diameter optical fiber core line is inserted into the core line insertion hole. An optical fiber is inserted into the optical fiber insertion hole. The optical fiber is fixed by the insertion-fixing unit. The ferrule for the optical connector is made through an injection molding process using a mold. The inner diameter of the optical fiber insertion hole gets smaller away from an inlet hole, such that various sizes of optical fibers are contained in the optical fiber. The inner surface of the optical fiber insertion hole is surface-contacted with the optical fiber.
