A communication terminal and a battery charging method of the communication terminal are provided to connect a motor with a battery charging unit by mounting the motor on a camera module, and to charge a battery with energy generated by rotating the camera module. A generator(110) generates an electromotive force according to an action of a camera module(100). A charging unit(120) charges a battery(123) by rectifying the electromotive force provided from the generator into a DC(Direct Current) voltage. The charging unit includes a rectifying circuit(121), which rectifies electro-magnetic force to DC voltage, and a constant voltage circuit(122) which converts the DC voltage to constant voltage. The generator comprises as follows. At least one coil(111) is equipped. A motor(112) converts circular motion generated as the camera module is rotated. A magnet(113) generates the electromotive force to the coils along with the circular motion of the motor.
