A water reservoir for a diesel fuel filter is provided to remove moisture by easily separating a water reservoir tank from a fuel tank at the top of a fuel filter. A water reservoir for a diesel fuel filter comprises a water reservoir tank(5) and a moisture reservoir(4). The water reservoir tank is detachable to the top of a fuel filter(1) having a filter body(3) that filters moisture contained in diesel fuel. The moisture reservoir is formed in the bottom of the fuel filter such that the moisture filtered by the filter body is gathered therein. A fluid passage(6) connects the moisture reservoir with the water reservoir tank. An absorbing member allows the moisture gathered in the moisture reservoir to be forcedly sent to the water reservoir tank. The absorbing member includes a piston(8), a rack gear, a driving motor and a spring. The driving motor rotates a pinion gear engaging with the rack gear.
