A method and a server for guiding an expected bus arrival time are provided to guide the expected bus arrival time to a user conveniently/quickly and reduce the number of key inputs remarkably by recognizing a bus station close to a mobile terminal of the user based on a mobile number, and using a recognized bus stop code and a bus line number received from the user. A receiver(610) receives a mobile number and a bus line number from a user mobile terminal. A current location generator(620) receives current location information of the mobile terminal from an LBS(Location-Based Service) system by using the received mobile number. A recognizer(630) recognizes a bus station corresponding to the received current location information. An expected arrival time processor(640) receives an expected arrival time of the received bus line number from a bus service information system based on the recognized bus station. A transmitter(650) transmits the expected bus arrival time to the mobile terminal. The mobile terminal includes an application for using an expected bus arrival time service, and transmits a short message including the mobile number and the bus line number to an expected bus arrival time guiding server(600) by using the application. |
