<p>An apparatus and a method for measuring a location of a synchronous CDMA subscriber terminal are provided to estimate a location as discriminating a general terminal and a vehicle mobile terminal, thereby reducing a location measurement error. A message receiver(101) acquires a location measurement message including a PN(Pseudo Noise) phase generated from a pilot measurement related message exchanged between a synchronous CDMA(Code Division Multiple Access) network and a terminal. A message analyzer(102) analyzes the location measurement message to confirm an active set. A location estimating unit(103) estimates a latitude and longitude of a corresponding BTS(Base Transceiver Station) as a general terminal location with respect to a region where the number of the active sets is single. The location estimating unit includes a unit for estimating latitude and longitude points of a main road nearest from the general terminal location as a vehicle mobile terminal location.</p> |
