A pipe detecting wire using double thin conductive plates and a connecting method thereof are provided to connect the pipe detecting wire with simple work by inserting an electric conducting bar to a middle gap of the double thin conductive plates and sealing an outside with a heat shrinking tube. A pipe detecting wire(11) using double thin conductive plates comprises multiple double thin conductive plates(17a,17b) coated with a plastic cover(13), and connected to each other by an electric conducting bar(1) inserted partly to a middle gap of the double thin conductive plates. A connecting method of the pipe detecting wire using double thin conductive plates comprises the steps of adjoining the pipe detecting wires to be connected, inserting a part of the electric conducting bar into the middle gap of the double thin conductive plates of the pipe detecting wire, and sealing an outside with a heat shrinking tube(7).
