An ultrasonic welding device that provides an accurate welding seam is provided, and a foil bag handling device comprising the ultrasonic welding device is provided. An ultrasonic welding device comprises a sonotrode(8) and an anvil(7) for simultaneously welding at least two foil layers by applying a force, wherein the foil layers are positioned in a receiving gap(6) provided between an effective face(11) of the sonotrode and an effective face(12) of the anvil, and the force includes a force component applied oppositely to the gravity direction while welding is proceeded. The force is applied at an angle(alpha) of at least 70 degrees, preferably 80 to 89.5 degrees, more preferably 85 to 89 degrees, most preferably 87 to 89 degrees, particularly most preferably 88 degrees relative to the direction of gravity(G) while welding is proceeded. The sonotrode is inclined to an angle of 0 to 90 degrees relative to the gravity direction. The effective face of the sonotrode is horizontal to the gravity direction. The anvil and/or a preloading unit of the anvil are or is inclined an angle of 0 to 90 degrees relative to the gravity direction. The effective face of the anvil is horizontal to the gravity direction. The anvil and/or the sonotrode include(s) a base face(10a), at least two welding lips mounted on bottoms of the anvil and the sonotrode, and a gap between the welding lips. |
