A system and a method for providing a search box service are provided to offer various search box-based services effectively by converting syntax received from a user into a URL(Uniform Resource Locator) of search engine or application servers corresponding to the syntax, and redirecting a message to the URL. A database unit includes a user information database(301), a URL database, and a syntax database. An arranging module(311) arranges the syntax received from a user based on a delimiter and a space, and stores the arranged syntax to at least one arrangement variable. A user shortcut restoring module(312) restores a user shortcut from the arrangement variable based on the user information database and stores the user shortcut to at least one restoration variable. A common shortcut restoring module(313) restores a common shortcut from the arrangement variable based on the URL database and stores the common shortcut to the restoration variable. A component classifying module(314) classifies the restoration variables into at least one company based on the URL database and points a processing mode by each class. A redirection message generating module(315) generates a redirection message from the component based on the URL or syntax database. |
