<p>An apparatus for providing multiple screens and a method for configuring the multiple screens dynamically are provided to enable a user and application to configure the screens, which displays plural contents on a physical display screen, dynamically by searching the shape of the screens on a system and correlation between the screens. An apparatus for providing a screen object(1220) receives at least one of a video service, an audio service and a data service, and displays the received service. The apparatus includes two modules. A multi-screen context module(1230) sets the screen property information of the screens including correlation between the service and the screen. A multi-screen manager module(1210) exchanges each of services associated with a first screen and a second screen out of the screens. The multi-screen context module(1230) is an interface object for the screen object, and the type of screen is determined to a logic screen or an output screen according to the interface operation of the multi-screen context module. An application(1260) is a module which operates in an application layer, enables a user to select a service the user wants, and arrays a plurality of logic screens free on the output screen in a desired shape. When the attribute information of the screen object is changed by the interface object, a multi-screen context event module(1240) is an event class which notifies a user of the change.</p> |
