The method of operating a magnetic vehicle (5) is carried out so that before the crossing over all possible change points (22,23), respectively a first winding section (e.g. 3.2) connected at the section cable (9) and a second winding section (e.g. 3 separated from it by the change point (e.g. 22.2) are connected to an electric series circuit and remain connected until after t passing over of the change point (22.2).
