A method of reusing traffic plates is provided to recycle old traffic plates whose street names have changed by first cleaning the traffic plates, drying and then applying a think layer of a hand coat, heat fusing high luminous films, and lastly, bonding EC films engraved with street names onto the high luminous films. A method of reusing traffic plates comprises a first step of cleaning collected traffic plates once in a 10 to 30°C of water by using detergents, the second step of drying the cleaned plates for 2 to 3 minutes by using a heater fan, the third step of applying a thin layer of handy coat(10) on the dried traffic plates, the fourth step of drying the hand coat for 2 to 30 minutes and then using a grinder and a sand paper of 200 to 600 grit sizes to smooth the surface of the handy coat, the fifth step of placing the surface processed traffic plates into an oven heated to 60 to 200°C temperatures to heat treat the traffic plates, the sixth step of cooling the traffic plates and then manually sanding the traffic plates by using a sand paper of 400 to 800 grit sizes, and the seventh step of cutting high luminous film(20) into sizes of the traffic plates and heat fusing the cut high luminous films onto the traffic plates, and the eighth step of bonding EC(Electro Cut) films(40) engraved with contents of the traffic plate onto the high luminous films. The first step of cleaning the traffic plates can be repeated 2 to 4 times. In the third step, a second layer of the handy coat is applied after the initial application of the handy coat. In the fifth step, the traffic plate is cooled by the ambient air for 30 to 40 minutes after taking the plate out of the oven.
