METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR DECOMPOSING NITROGEN CONTAINING ORGANIC COMPOUNDS

A method and an apparatus for decomposing a nitrogen-containing organic compound are provided to decompose simultaneously the nitrogen-containing organic compound and all nitrogen components generated due to decomposition of the organic compound. Waste liquid including nitrogen-containing organic compound, aliphatic nitro compound, and diluted water are mixed. An oxidizing agent is inputted into the mixed wastewater. An oxidatively decomposed treatment water is generated by heating the mixed wastewater at a temperature of 280-450°C and inputting the heated wastewater into a high pressure and high temperature reactor. The treatment water is cooled to a temperature of below 100°C. The cooled treatment water is separated into liquid and gas.
