The fuel cell is characterized in that a support protrusion (16) supporting the anode conductive layer (7b) and the film electrode junction body (1) and press them toward the external case (15) is arranged to protrude from the bottom of the liquid fuel tank (9). With this configuration, it is possible to provide a fuel cell in which the vaporized component of the liquid fuel is supplied to the anode catalyst layer and in particular, a fuel cell exhibiting preferable cell characteristic with less deformation of the generation unit.
