A low power magnetic contactor is provided to simplify a driving structure of the magnetic contactor by elevating a movable rod into a magnetic box and reinforcing a magnetic force by using the magnetic box. A magnetic box(20) is arranged in a housing(10). A fixing rod(24) is fixed at a bottom of the magnetic box. A movable rod(26) is inserted through an aperture on the magnetic box. A coil(28) is wound around the rods and magnetizes the rods when a current is applied. A movable contact node(34) is mounted on an elongation block, which is elongated from the movable rod. First and second fixed contact nodes(36,38) are contacted to or disconnected from each other when the movable contact node is raised. A return spring(32) is applied between the elongation block and an upper portion of the magnetic box. When a magnetic force from the moving rod is reduced, the return spring returns the movable rod at an original position.
