PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily repair a short-circuiting place without requiring an appearance inspection. SOLUTION: The method for repairing the short-circuiting place of conductor wirings in a printed siring board having a plurality of conductor wirings makes first and second probes respectively into contact with the desired two points at the end of the conductor wiring, thereafter applies prescribed voltage to the first and second probes to supply excess current to melt and cut off the short-circuiting part. A wiring repair apparatus includes the first and second probes whose tips can at least contact respectively with a desired conductor wiring ends of the printed wiring board, an X-Y positioning apparatus for the probes for moving and fixing the first and second probes to respective desired positions, a power source for melting and cutting off which applies the desired voltage to the first and second probes, and a controlling computer for controlling the operation of the X-Y positioning apparatus for the probes and the power source.
