PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a remote controller for accurately controlling desired state transition of a device to be controlled by a toggle control signal. SOLUTION: When a first power source control command that is a toggle control signal is input from a remote controller, a power source state of a device to be controlled transits into OFF state if it is in ON state, or transits into ON state if it is in OFF state via a prescribed dead term. In such a case, a dead term Tcon1 of power-on control is set shorter than a dead term Tcoff1 of power-off control. The remote controller then transmits a second power source control command at transmission intervals Td1 of a time length between a time length of the dead term Tcon1 and that of the dead term Tcoff1. Thus, the transition into the OFF state is continued and the ON sate transits into OFF state again. Moreover, by transmitting a third power source control command at transmission intervals Td2 longer than the time length of the two dead terms, the device to be controlled transits into ON state regardless of an initial power source state.
