PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To accomplish a sheet feeding device with high reliability capable of reducing dispersion of sheet conveying timing in a sheet feeding device and responding to high speed of an image forming device in a simple and compact structure. SOLUTION: The sheet feeding device has a sheet support means; a feeding rotation body for contacting with the sheet supported on the sheet support means and rotated in a direction conveying the sheet to feed the sheet; a separation rotation body for rotating the sheet fed out from the feeding rotation body in a direction returning the sheet for separating the sheet; a conveying means for conveying the sheet fed out by the feeding rotation body; and one drive source for driving the feeding rotation body, the separation rotation body and the conveying means. The sheet feeding device has a feeding rotation body drive control means for restricting driving of the feeding rotation body at a predetermined timing; and a separation rotation body drive restriction means for restricting driving of the separation rotation body at a predetermined timing.
