PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a side trimmer device for a metal band which can positively prevent curling of trim chips even if the metal band includes nonconstant sections such as a section where a trimming width on one side of the metal band becomes extremely narrow, and a section including edge cracks, and can carry out side trimming of a thin sheet at high speed and with stability. SOLUTION: According to the structure of the metal band side trimmer device, a trim chip guide plate is mounted on a shearing blade mounting stand in a manner being inclined with respect to a path line so that a side space reaching a front surface of the metal band after trimming, is not formed between a lower surface of the trim chip guide plate and the path line on a discharge side in a metal band transporting direction, as viewed from the side.
