PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a game machine with a simply-structured, easy, durable and inexpensive ball shortage detecting means. SOLUTION: The pachinko game machine 1 can detect the presence of game balls P in respective ball passages 328 and 329 only by optically detecting a detected part 422 of an actuator 420, which is displaced according to the state of contact between the game balls P and a contact part 421 of the actuator 420, by a photosensor 400. Accordingly, the structure to detect the presence of game balls P in all the ball passages 328 and 329 can be simplified compared with a conventional structure of detection only by a mechanical switch (mechanical switching motion), and therefore, the manufacturing cost can be reduced.
