<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a stent which can be extended in the radial direction to avoid its contraction in the longitudinal direction. <P>SOLUTION: The stent comprises a plurality of first parts (4) arranged in the longitudinal direction and second parts (6) each positioned between the neighboring first parts, wherein the first parts are each expandable and contractible in the radial direction, and the second parts are each allowed to wholly curve in the longitudinal direction.
