PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lubricant which is used for processing a metallic material, i.e. used for processing a high-tensile steel plate with a tensile strength of 340 N/mm<SP>2</SP>or higher, is excellent in the rust-prevention capability after MAG welding of a work having a lubricant attached thereto, and also has degreasing property. SOLUTION: The lubricant is prepared by compounding a lubricant base oil with (a) a sulfur-based extreme-pressure additive, (b) a corrosion inhibitor and (c) a calcium-based additive and satisfies the followings: the sulfur content of the component (a) is 0.5-20 wt.% of the total amount of the lubricant, the content of the component (b) is 0.1-15 wt.% of the total amount of the lubricant, and the calcium content of the component (c) is 0.1-15 wt.% relative to the total amount of the lubricant. The lubricant brings out excellent effects for processing a high-tensile steel plate with a tensile strength of 340 N/mm<SP>2</SP>or higher. COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
