PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an exothermic cleaning material capable of providing the cleaning and heating at the same time. SOLUTION: This material having a substrate having at least 2 surfaces is provided such that at least one of the surfaces of the substrate has a water-soluble factor in a discrete domain, and the water-soluble factor contains a substance causing an exothermic reaction on making contact with water. The method is to heat skin, nail or body hairs by applying the material on the skin, nail or body hairs, and is provided by wetting the material before its application, during the application or after the application.
