PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a circuit for resetting a plasma display panel. SOLUTION: A circuit and a method for resetting a plasma display panel (PDP) are provided. This circuit resets at least one display unit in the PDP at a resetting period. This circuit comprises at least one energy recovery circuit (ERC). In a 1st period of the resetting period, the ERC provides discharge energy to a 1st terminal of the display unit by means of resonance. meanwhile, a 2nd terminal of the display unit is electrically connected to a 1st fixed voltage.
