PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a driving means and a control means of a headrest having an impact element which is expanded in a crash. SOLUTION: The headrest of a vehicular seat comprises a carrier 9, an impact element to be expanded in a crash with respect to the carrier 9, a driving means for expanding the impact element, and an electric magnet 17 or an electric motor which are controlled by a control unit C and energized, and has a plurality of components to hold and release the driving means.
