PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vehicular skeleton structure capable of increasing the rigidity of a vehicular skeleton without increasing the weight of a vehicle. SOLUTION: In the vehicular skeleton structure 1, the pre-stress is exerted in a pillar R/F6 as a reinforcing member of a center pillar 2, and the stress generated in the pillar R/F6 can be mitigated by a collision load. Thus, compared with a case in which no pre-stress is exerted, the pillar R/F6 can withstand a larger collision load. In the vehicular skeleton structure 1, the rigidity of the pillar R/F6 is increased without increasing the number of members or the thickness of the R/F, and the rigidity of the center pillar 2 can be increased without increasing the mass of a vehicle C.
