<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a gas generator for an airbag with a simplified structure and reduced in weight. <P>SOLUTION: A cup-shaped thin film member 147 is put on a cup member arranged in a combustion chamber. The thin film member 147 has openings 162 and 163 surrounding a through-hole 142 formed in the cup member.
