<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent that large difference is caused in extracting force of the tape cartridge by difference of a standard and a shape of a tape cartridge. <P>SOLUTION: A carrier 10A housing and holding the tape cartridge is provided with a holding mechanism 13A for holding the tape cartridge at one side of side planes 11. The holding mechanism 13A has a pair of arms 131, 132 extended to an insertion direction of the tape cartridge, and a bridge part 13 bridging these pair of arms at the tip.
