摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a manufacture method of a zinc oxide ultrafine particle which shows the ultraviolet band-edge luminescence. SOLUTION: The light emitter is a metal oxide ultrafine particle light emitter which shows the ultraviolet band-edge luminescence and comprises a metal oxide ultrafine particle of which surface is silylated. The synthetic method of the metal oxide ultrafine particle light emitter is a method to synthesize a metal oxide ultrafine particle light emitter which emits ultraviolet rays and comprises hydrolyzing a metal raw material salt dissolved in an organic solvent by a base dissolved in the same organic solvent, synthesizing a metal oxide ultrafine particle and silylating the surface of the particle. Thereby, the oxide semiconductor ultrafine particle such as a zinc oxide ultrafine particle or the like which can be used as a third-order non-linear optical material which shows the ultraviolet band-edge luminescence can be obtained.
