PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent contamination caused by charging of a recording paper 170 from occurring. SOLUTION: The liquid jetting apparatus is equipped with: a recording head 164 which has a conductive nozzle plate 166 and jets a liquid from an opening 168 of the nozzle plate 166 towards the recording paper 170 while reciprocating on the recording paper 170; a bottom electrode 310 disposed at the side of the object to be recorded farther than the recording paper 170 oppositely to the nozzle plate 166 for a direction in which the liquid is jetted; a potential difference generating means 330 which generates a potential difference between the nozzle plate 166 and the bottom electrode 310 thereby electrically attracting the liquid jetted from the opening 168 of the nozzle plate 166 towards the bottom electrode 310; and a rib electrode 156 which moves electric charges accumulated in the recording paper 170 thereby bringing the recording paper 170 and the nozzle plate 166 to the same potential.
