PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a steel beam reinforcing fitting which can strengthen a connection force at a bolt connection portion, and can generate a large force resistant to an external force resistance immediately after application of the external force of an earthquake or the like to a steel beam, and to provide a method of mounting the steel beam reinforcing fitting. SOLUTION: The steel beam reinforcing fittings 11 function to reinforce a through hole 3 formed in a web 2b of the steel beam 2, and they are mounted on both front and rear sides of the web to pinch the same at a location around an edge of the through hole. Each reinforcing fitting 11 has, formed therein, a center hole 11a and insertion holes 11b into each of which a shaft 15a of a screw fastening means 15 for concentrically piercing the web and the reinforcing fitting and fastening the former and the latter together, is inserted. Further a gap between an internal peripheral surface of each of the insertion holes 11b and insertion holes 2c, and an external peripheral surface of the shaft 15a becomes nearly zero.
