PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing a powdery detergent composition for dishwashers, free from the trouble of the adhesion of powder mixture to the inner wall surface of a mixing apparatus in production caused by dissolution and viscosity increase, enabling homogeneous mixing and giving a composition having high powder fluidity and excellent storage stability. SOLUTION: The method for the production of a powdery detergent composition for dishwashers comprises a step (I) adding an aqueous solution containing a water-soluble polymer compound (B) having a monomer unit (a) containing one or more groups selected from an amino group and quaternary ammonium group to one or more kinds of powdery compounds (A) selected from a powdery organic polymer compound having water-absorbing property by hydrogen bond, a powdery organic compound capable of taking free water as crystal water, and a water-soluble powdery inorganic compound capable of taking free water as crystal water while stirring the powdery compounds (A) and making the component (A) take in the water in the aqueous solution by hydrogen bond or as crystal water.
