PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sheet delivery mechanism capable of reducing occurrence of noise when delivering a sheet and improving alignment property and loading property of sheets and to provide an image forming device equipped with it. SOLUTION: Projecting parts 22a, 22b for pressing both left and right ends of a sheet passing through a sheet delivery port 19 to give stiffness to the sheet are protrudedly and downwardly provided from an upper end of the sheet delivery port 19 in two sections on both left and right sides of the sheet delivery port 19. Height of protrusion of the projecting part 22a on the right side toward the sheet delivery port 19 is higher than height of protrusion of the projecting part 22b on the left side. Consequently, since bending on the right side of the sheet passing through the sheet delivery port 19 is larger than bending on the left side, required and sufficient stiffness is given to the sheet by bending on the right side of the sheet. On the other hand, since bending on the left side of the sheet is small, contact area with an upper face of a delivery tray or the sheet loaded already on the delivery tray is reduced, occurrence of noise due to friction and disorder in loading sheets or drop of the sheet from the delivery tray are prevented.
