摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a tire information acquisition device and a tire information acquisition method capable of detecting installation of a chain on an intelligent tire. SOLUTION: A distortion gage 26 is provided on a wheel of a vehicle and acquires distortion of a tire tread part in travelling the vehicle. An ECU 100 performs vehicle control by using acquired output of the distortion gage. The ECU 100 compares the distortion gage output acquired from the front wheel and the distortion gage output acquired from the rear wheel with each other and judges that the chain is installed on the front wheel or the rear wheel when a difference between them is higher than a threshold value after the lapse of a predetermined time from the beginning of the travelling of the vehicle.
