PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and apparatus for granulation by cutting in water which prevent the temperature of a heating coil itself from exceeding an allowable temperature and make exceptional processing unnecessary for a die. SOLUTION: In the method for granulation by cutting in water, a molten material discharged from the nozzle 8 of the die 2 is cut in cooling water by rotating cutting edges 12a-12d. An induction heating device 4, with the cutting edges held inbetween, is arranged to face the discharge opening of the nozzle.
