<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a tag reading device capable of reading the information stored in an article tag and related to an article and the information stored in a position tag and related to a position and combining both of the information to enable integrated management. <P>SOLUTION: This tag reading device 1 is provided with a bar code reader 11 for reading article codes of bar code type from the article tag TB and a radio tag reader 12 for reading shelf codes from a shelf tag TA by non-contact radio communication. The article codes read by the bar code reader are stored in an article code memory 13, and the shelf codes read by the radio tag reader are stored in a shelf code memory 14. The tag reading device is also provided with an information processing part 15 and a control part 17, and the information processing part is controlled by the control part to process the article codes and the shelf codes as one set of information for article management.
