摘要 <p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a composite material of a metal and a porous substrate, which makes the metal carried on the porous substrate without damaging its shape and surface area, and makes the metal into a granular or acicular shape to further enlarge the surface area. <P>SOLUTION: This production method comprises the steps of: immersing the porous substrate in a solution containing ions of a metal M<SB>3</SB>having a lower oxidation-reduction potential than a metal M<SB>2</SB>while applying an ultrasonic wave to make the porous substrate carry the metal ions M<SB>3</SB>; immersing the porous substrate having carried the metal ions M<SB>3</SB>in pure water or a diluted acid solution; immersing the porous substrate carrying the metal ions M<SB>3</SB>in a solution containing ions of the metal M<SB>2</SB>while applying the ultrasonic wave to make the porous substrate carry a colloid of the metal M<SB>2</SB>; immersing the porous substrate carrying the colloid of the metal ions M<SB>2</SB>into pure water or a diluted acid solution; and immersing the porous substrate carrying the colloid of the metal M<SB>2</SB>in the solution which contains the ions of the metal M<SB>1</SB>, a reducing agent and a smoothing agent of 50 ppm or less to electroless-plate the porous substrate with the metal M<SB>2</SB>. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT</p>
