<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of efficiently separating and recovering valuable metal such as Li, Ni, and Co from a used lithium ion battery without carrying out dry treatment such as heating and incineration. <P>SOLUTION: The method is provided with a dismantling process of dismantling the lithium ion battery, a cleaning process of cleaning the dismantled battery with alcohol or water to remove an electrolytic solution and an electrolyte, a positive electrode active material peeling-off process of immersing the cleansed dismantled battery in a sulfuric acid aqueous solution and peeling-off the positive electrode active material from a positive substrate, a leaching process of leaching the peeled-off positive electrode active material by an acidic solution during a fixed carbon containing material exists, a neutralization process of separating and removing Al and Cu from the leached liquid by neutralization, next, a nickel and cobalt recovering process of separating and recovering Ni and Co from the leached liquid, and a lithium recovery process of separating and recovering a residual Li in the aqueous solution as a solid of a lithium carbonate after concentrating it by solvent extraction and reverse extraction. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT</p> |
